Cancellation &
Rescheduling
A little clarity for when plans change.
Reserved session times are set aside especially for you. Please contact Elizabeth as soon as your plans change. These terms apply to new bookings made on or after October 26, 2026. Existing bookings follow the terms accepted when booked; wedding and event agreements have their own cancellation terms.
Regular portrait sessions
A $100 nonrefundable deposit reserves your session and is applied to its total price. If you cancel, the deposit is not refunded. With at least 72 hours’ notice before your scheduled start time, you may reschedule once and transfer your original deposit to an available date. A second reschedule requires a new deposit.
With less than 72 hours’ notice, or if you do not attend, your original deposit does not transfer and a new deposit is required to rebook. This policy does not add a separate cancellation charge.
Individually purchased mini sessions
Mini sessions have limited, scheduled slots. The $100 nonrefundable deposit is applied to your session price. With at least 72 hours’ notice, you may transfer the deposit once to another available eligible mini-session slot. A particular theme or replacement date is not guaranteed. Late cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice and no-shows forfeit the deposit; a new deposit is required to rebook.
Year of Minis pass reservations
Your pass is valid for 12 months from its purchase date. You are responsible for checking published seasonal mini events and reserving eligible available slots before your pass expires. A pass does not reserve a date or guarantee a particular theme or time slot. Custom dates are not included, and unused credits expire at the end of the 12-month period.
Cancel a reservation at least 72 hours before its start time and the session credit returns to your pass with its original expiration date. A cancellation with less than 72 hours’ notice or a no-show counts as one session used; that credit is not restored, subject to the illness and emergency exceptions below.
Illness and emergencies
Please do not attend while ill. Contact Elizabeth as soon as possible about illness or circumstances outside your control. Reasonable exceptions may be made case by case. For newborn sessions, please also contact Elizabeth promptly about changes in your baby’s arrival or medical needs.
Late arrivals
Your session ends at its original scheduled time. Late arrival reduces your photography time; missed time cannot be added when another appointment follows. If you miss the entire slot, the no-show policy applies.
Weather or photographer cancellations
Elizabeth determines whether conditions allow an outdoor session to proceed safely. If Elizabeth cancels or weather prevents the session, there is no client cancellation penalty. We will arrange a replacement where possible, or restore the affected Year of Minis credit. If a suitable replacement is not available, Elizabeth will discuss another arrangement with you before determining how the affected payment or credit is handled.
