If you’ve ever thought about booking a photo session, you’ve probably asked yourself that question. Maybe you’ve also wondered where to stand, which way to look, or how to smile without feeling awkward.
One of the questions I hear most at Elizabeth Fontecchio Design is: “Will you tell me how to pose, or do I have to figure it out myself?”
The answer is yes—I will guide you! You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose or having practiced in front of a mirror. Helping you through those details is part of my job.
You Don’t Have to Figure It Out
During your session, I’ll tell you where to stand, how to position yourself, where to look, and what to do with your hands. You won’t be left standing in front of the camera wondering what’s supposed to happen next.
And you don’t have to remember everything at once. We’ll work through it together, one direction at a time.
It’s completely okay to say, “I have no idea what I’m doing.” You’re not expected to! You bring yourself, and I’ll bring the guidance.
Feeling a Little Awkward Is Normal
Being in front of a camera can feel unfamiliar. Suddenly, something as simple as standing still can make you very aware of your arms, your smile, and every little movement.
That feeling doesn’t mean you’re bad at having your picture taken. It means you’re doing something you don’t do every day.
My goal is to make the process easier by giving you clear direction. You can ask questions, tell me if something feels uncomfortable, and let me help you through it.
Come as You Are
You don’t need modeling experience. You don’t need a collection of poses saved on your phone. And you don’t need to apologize for needing a little help.
When you book a session with Elizabeth Fontecchio Design, guidance is part of the experience.
